The situation in Haiti is as bad as ever.
It is not getting better. Many Americans are under the mistaken impression that the situation in Haiti is improving because of the money "donated" immediately after the earthquake. Unfortunately, most of the money was "pledged" not yet donated. The most recent report is that not one penny of the more than a billion dollars pledged by the U.S. has reached the people. The same is true for many of the other countries and large humanitarian groups.
